What experience do you have?
We are the couple behind the very first micropub in Scotland, which went on to win 10 major awards including Visit Scotland's Best bar in the Lothians & Borders.  We sold the business in April 2021.   We also have our own Gin company, DeliQuescent, and designed and developed the world's only Haggis gin, so we have heaps of experience and chat! 

Can we provide our own alcohol ('dry hire')?
At weddings you are able to provide your own reception drink, such as a glass of champagne, which your guests may collect from the bar,  but we do not allow you to stock the bar with your own alcohol.
For some Private and Corporate Events we may allow you to provide your own alcohol, however this will need to be discussed and agreed upon before the event.

​Do you provide staff only?
No, we do not provide staff to attend your own event.

Can we hire the bar and staff it ourselves?
No, we provide the bar fully staffed and stocked only

What is the minimum hire time?
The minimum hire is 5 hours

How many people do you cater for?
We cater from 50 people upwards

How many staff do you provide?
We provide up to 2 members of staff based at the bar for your event.  If you require more than this, we will discuss additional costs with you.

Will your staff take trays of champagne around?
No, we do not offer a waiting service,  We would suggest you speak to your caterer about this service.

Do you provide glassware?
All drinks are provided in biodegradable plastic glasses as we do not have a glasswasher on board. If you require glasses, we can help arrange hire at an extra cost.  

How much notice do you need?
As much as possible!  We do get booked up far in advance.  Please note we also need at least one month's notice in order to arrange the temporary events notice with the local council.

Can you provide tea and coffee?
We do not offer this as part of our regular bar service.  If you require this, please let us know in advance and we can provide.

Do you serve soft drinks?
Yes, we provide coke, diet coke, lemonade, orange juice and tonic.  Please speak to us to arrange any other drinks,

Does the mobile bar need to be outside?
No, providing you have a large enough internal area, with large access, we can serve inside.  We aim to visit the venue beforehand to scope it out, but if this is not possible, we will speak to you about access, and may require some snaps and measurements of the entrance etc.  Our acceptance of your job is subject to survey.  If you prefer an indoor bar, we do also offer a separate standalone option.

What access and facilities do you require?
On arrival, we need the access to be at least 3m wide and 3.25m high (we are 4.55m long).  The ground needs to be flat and accessible,  When we are onsite and fully opened up, we measure 8m wide by 4m deep.   We will need a flat piece of ground and electrical hook-up (just one standard household socket).  We may to survey the site or see photographs before we fully agree to accept the job.

Do you have insurance?
Yes, we are fully insured with Public Liability Insurance.

How far can you travel?
We will travel up to a 50 mile radius from TD11, but if you are further away, please speak to us for a mileage quote.  Our acceptance of your job is subject to survey.

What time do you serve until?
Let us know what time you would like us to serve until, and we will speak with the local council.

What does the £250 booking fee cover?
  • Your chosen date and duration of your event
  • Full bar hire (excluding drinks)
  • The event licence
  • Minimum of two members of staff based at the bar.
  • Disposable glassware, ice and garnishes

What is the refundable £250 damage deposit for?
 This will be returned no later than one week after your event if no damage has occurred to our vehicle, stock or staff.  Please note there is no damage deposit with the indoor bar option.

What is the minimum spend?
Our minimum spend is £300.
If you are paying in advance, once you reach the £300 minimum spend, we will deduct this from your final bill.
